Math Update

Third Grade Third grade students did not have math this week. They can work on the following problem using the 5 numbers 7, 4, 1, 6, 3 to equal 9. Fourth Grade Fourth graders are continuing Bits and Pieces II, working with fractions. They worked on 2.1 and 2 sheets that say transparency at the top. If they did not finish this in class they need to finish that as homework. They will have find at least one way to use the following 5 numbers: 4, 7, 3, 6, 1 with any mathematical function to reach 9. They more ways they can find to solve this problem, the more their thinking will be challenged. Fifth Grade Fifth graders are in lesson 2 of Variables and Patterns. Students are to have lesson 2.3, a quiz and ACE problems: 2, 4, 6, 11, 20, and 21 if they did not finish in class. They also have find at least one way to use the following 5 numbers: 4, 7, 3, 6, 1 with any mathematical function to reach 9. They more ways they can find to solve this problem, the more their thinking will be challenged.
