Math Update

Third Grade Third grade students finished working in Martina and Fizz and have no homework for next Friday. Their homework are the thinking problems for this week. They were to find at least one way to use the following 5 numbers: 4, 9, 5, -1, 6 to make -3 and 3, 6, 4, 2, 11 to make 9. Fourth Grade Fourth graders began Hands on Equations, a manipulatetive way to work on algebra. They were to find at least one way to use the following 5 numbers: 4, 9, 5, -1, 6 to make -3 and 3, 6, 4, 2, 11 to make 9. The more ways they can find to solve this problem, the more their thinking will be challenged. Fifth Grade Fifth graders are continuing Accentuate the Negative in math and they are to do at 1.2, 1.3 qand 1.4 for homework. They are also to find at least one way to use the following 5 numbers: 4, 9, 5, -1, 6 to make -3 and 3, 6, 4, 2, 11 to make 9. The more ways they find to solve this problem, the more their thinking will be challenged.
