Math Update

Third Grade Third grade students are still using Hands on Equations, a way of using manipulatives and algebra problems. Students are now working on story/word problems using this same technique. The thinking problems for this week are to find at least one way to use the following 5 numbers:3, 7, -2, 6, 9 to make 12; 5, -7, 4, 2, 6, to make -9. The more ways they can find to solve this problem, the more their thinking will be challenged. Fourth Grade Fourth graders did Bits and Pieces III 3.4 and a quiz this week. That is the homework.
